Cheatham Records Contacts

This is a private reference site, not a government office. We cannot confirm custody, release anyone, post bond, or retrieve an official booking record. Contact the office that holds the record.

Cheatham Jail and Records

The Cheatham County Sheriff's Office is at 264 South Main Street, Ashland City, TN 37015. Its main number is (615) 792-4341, and published administrative hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. For remaining-time or release questions about an identified jail booking, call Jail Administration at (615) 792-2042. The jail runs continuously, but that does not mean administrative records service is available at every hour.

The county public-record page routes sheriff and jail requests through its named recipient and links the current policy and form. Confirm that recipient before sending because personnel can change.

Choose the Right Office

A release record, court disposition, state sentence, and notification entry belong to different custodians. Use the route that matches the event.

  • For a named local release, the home guide explains the jail call and booking-record request.
  • For state parole or felony probation, use TDOC FOIL and the Cheatham/Dickson District 80 office at 513 Spring Street, Charlotte, TN 37055, (615) 740-4766.
  • For a recent Cheatham jail event, call Jail Administration because the sheriff publishes no 24-hour release feed.
  • For sentence timing or an alert, use TDOC's Release Eligibility Date and Tennessee VINELink, then confirm the actual event with the custodian.
  • For a local case, contact the Cheatham County Circuit Court Clerk at 100 Public Square, Suite 225, Ashland City, (615) 792-3272.
  • For an older Tennessee felony record, contact TDOC Records Management at 320 Sixth Avenue North, Nashville, TN 37243-0465, (615) 253-8079.
  • For federal or immigration custody, use the BOP Inmate Locator or ICE ODLS rather than the county jail line.
